14.0. 2.2 60'. 90 degree day. AEM V2 intake is the only power mod. I'm not a very good drag racer

Not trying to compare performace levels of different cars or get into a pissing contest with you, but you said that an S2000 was a way better track car than a Civic, and that all depends on the particular S2000 and Civic we're talking about.

We weren't talking about anyone's penis either, but if you're fixated on such things, there are more appropriate forums than S2kI.

BTW, I know you probably realize this, but it takes more than a bunch of aftermarket parts to get most cars to handle better than an S2000.
Ok lets put it this way and level the playing field then. Civic & s2000 fully prepped track cars = s2000 FTW. Its a better platform period. You don't see them making formula 1 cars in front wheel drive. S2000 is a club racer with some refinement for the street. Lotus Elise is a club racer with a license plate. Civic is an economy car that has morphed into something semi sporty do to the demands of the market. Comparing a Civic to an S2000 is like trying to compare a cat to a dog. They both have 4 legs and a tail and thats about as far as it goes. My thought is the S cost more to mod then the civic so more times you will see a fully modded Civic up against a semi modded or stock s2k on the track or auto X. Further more the S requires more skill to drive over a civic. This also levels the playing field more in favor of the civic for the average club sport driver. You put two high skilled drivers in each with the same scope of track prepped refinement and its no contest. Bye Bye Civic!

This thread is full of completely stupid logic.

The s2000 from Honda was not designed for quarter mile success. Trying to squeeze a faster quarter mile can be done, hell they have school buses running 10seconds sure an s2000 can run a great quarter mile but it will take a GREAT amount of Work and MONEY.

When these conversations are had we have to talk stock for stock, after modifications its anybody's game. Stock the s2000's average numbers are not good...but then again the s2000 was designed to replicate the old historic model which was slower than most other cars, smaller engine but did amazing at the track.

Look at cars like the older non-turbo 911s what times are they running, what are their goals. The GT3's goal is balance not quarter mile speed...while cars like the dodge viper is all about the quarter mile.

You can't compare apples to oranges...or try and make apples similiar to oranges in order to compare them...its not going to work.
