What does your s2k run in the quarter
i broke an axle at the track this weekend. I deserved to break it because of how i launched the car!
This was the cause

This is how i felt

This was how i got home

and this was the result

it was a broken spider, that fits inside the bucket of the inner CV joint. No more launching for me at the track! I'm going to try and slip my six puck instead, like my friend who got a 11.9@122 the first day he ran his turbo s2000!

. My ap1 is stock what do you think?????????? The closes moroso to my house is 2 hours away so you can imagin how much the tow over here would be.. $450 to be exact!!
i had been to the same track last year, and there was no traction. This was the 2nd run of the day. The first one, i stalled at the light, restarted and got a 19@116, with a 8.7 60 ft. I wanted to get a much better time, so i did my two-step, made some boost, and when it went green i dropped the clutch. It lurched about a foot and i heard a horrible noise! I completely deserved what i did. If you are to go to the track, either let it out like you normally would, or get the clutch to take the abuse of your launch. Especially if the track is covered in VHT like my track was!
Thankfully, i had it towed to my friends house, and we swapped out axles that night and drove it home!

I'd be sad with a 13.4 if I SC'd my car - depending on the trap...
It sounds like ricer talk to me. Bitching about cars that run slow 1/4 mile times because they are built for "road racing" is like bitching about a car running low lap times because it was meant for "straight line racing".
One car just does one thing better in one category then it does in another category.
Ricers like to preach gospel about the "modern technology" in OHC engines, especially ones with variable valve timing. Funny part is OHC engines are older then OHV engines, but it's "modern technology". Same thing can be said about suspension, brakes, wheels, and tires.
