I bought my S2000 with 25000 miles year 2000 for 23k. Average price around here for that year and mileage (the 2001)is 25-27k. Very popular and rare car in this area. Everyone wants one but few have them.
There are tons of G35C's and 350Z's though.

It should have a factory 3 year, 36K mi warranty standard. Make them throw in the extended warranty as a part of the final negotiation - do not pay for that yourself.
Also, ask for the service history to see which of the TSB's or "Technical Service Bulletins" have been performed on your car. The bulletins help the service techs in problem solving, but have turned into a usefull tool for the owners. BE SURE that the 2nd gear grind and clutch buzz work has been completed. If not, make sure the dealer will honor those BEFORE you sign any papers.
These TSB's seem to be honored on an individual basis, even though they come from Honda. If they are clueless about these, maybe you should move on.
-sidenote- I am presuming that you are going to a Honda dealership. If not, the TSB stuff will have to be taken up with a Honda dealership. Either way, if you get an S2000, you will want this completed.
Good Luck!

from a dealer $23k would be a pretty good deal... i doubt they will want to sell it that low unless they have had it for a while.
You could most likely find the same car privately for $22k if you look around

It worked out for because I got a 02 for 26500, a sweet deal around here.
