I can get it for $1000 off MSRP is this good? I live in FL. So it would be 31,800+Tax& fees is this a good price? I have seen posts that people are getting 03 for this price.

yes that's pretty good. I think anything MSRP or under is reasonable. I could have gotten one for 1500 under MSRP but it wasn't the color i wanted. I ended up getting the color i wanted for MSRP but i got it at 3.9% for 60 months :-)

I got very lucky, they had an 02 on the lot with the exact colors I wanted. I paid $31.5 and got the 3.9% financing for 60 months.

I paid $31,000. They had it on the showroom floor marked up to $44,000.

I would say a lot depends on what you can purchase an 03 for. If 2003 are available in your area at MSRP then a year old model brand new or not still has IMO lost $3 to $4 thousand dollars in original value.

The only Honda dealership in Hawaii that still has '02 models still want at least retail. I was kind of surprised that they wouldn't drop the price, being that the other dealers have '03 models already. The '03 models are also going for MSRP.

I guess it's better that the price stays high since I already got mine.

I agree, as long as you plan to not keep it for 10+ years. Though I would estimate the difference of 1 model year with the same miles as something less, perhaps $2-3K. So, if both are available new today, I'd factor that in.

I've seen new '02's around here, Rochester NY, for slightly under $30K. Guess that's what happens when summer is gone and fall is quickly following. So, it comes down to how hard you want to shop. But frankly, I think that in many parts of the country, the S2000 frenzy is long gone. It's a sports car entering its 4th MY, that doesn't have the cachet of some, and is very uncompromising. Deliveries to the US have been about 80% (9k/yr vs 5k) above initial targets due to it being more popular here than in other markets. There are other new bright & shiny toys on the block, etc. Still, I don't tend to see too many sitting on the lot...
