xviper felt unappreciated, which he wasn't. imo, he ran into some bad members on the wrong day, stormed off, said he would never come back and has regreted saying so. xviper, if u read this, you WERE valued and we wouldn't think less of you if you came back.

guys - no more tangents regarding english comprehension please - I don't want to delete all your posts.
Forums change as people come and go. This always happens. It is to be expected.

very perceptive - there's more to a story than an ending thread.
This forum really has changed over the years. Dave was trying to fight that rising tide, and that's a hard and stressful thing to do. Eventually the tide swept past him and carried him out to sea.
That's one reason why I occasionally retreat away from certain forums on this board myself, because if I didn't I would get too stressed. One of those forums is UTH (and another is S2000 Talk). But UTH was Dave's baby, essentially, and he couldn't just leave it alone.

Since most of the people complaining are n00bs, a historical perspective: people have been posting threads complaining that S2KI (aka S2000online, Hondafans, et al) is going down the tubes since ~2001, when the site was less than a year old, and long before most of the people in here signed up. The truth is that the search function has never worked all that well, n00bs have always posted redundant threads without checking if someone already started the same thread, there have always been trolls and always will be trolls, the car has been getting more affordable and the owner demographic younger, and unless Honda comes out with something truly new (the CR does not count, the AP2 wasn't much in the way of new either), we really don't have all that much to discuss. The majority of the valuable information/content on S2KI is several years old and posted by people who've moved on. So is it going downhill? In some ways, yes.
It actually doesn't suck. I'm at a loss for words.

You are correct. If we're paddling upstream everyone needs to be in sync.
A raft used only on certain African lakes?
