hard to say, but i bet it would be quicker than an nsx, so honda would never do that, maybe as an option and a $10000 price increase at least

didn't scc do a report on that ultra lightweight s2000 in GT4.. it came out at around 2100lbs if i remember, with a full carbon budy and extensive re-engineering of the chassis. I'd assume you'd get a little less than that result using an aluminium chassis engineered to OEM specs.. my case in point is the elise which has a full aluminium tub and composite body panles and that weighs in at 1900lbs, while being a significantly smaller car than the S.

Short answer- my guess is around 2300 - 2400lbs (assuming full Al chassis)

That would be something to experiance for sure.....

A little case study for you......

My 04 Insight is a full AL chassis car... With Composite panels....

61 hp @ 1800 lbs gets you 115mph.... With a 200 lb driver on board....

Slapping in the F20c and drivetrain would get you perminate white knuckes and habitual traffic offender status......

Or a ditch ride with every throttle hit.... (Wouldnt handle well)....

It would be sweet to see how well a 2000-lb S would fly.....

i think it would only weigh 700lbs and will do 0-60 in 1.7 seconds and the quarter in 6 flat!

I'd just like to replace the suspension arms with Al versions like the NSX. Reducing unsprung weight should have a big effect on handling.

I think someone does Al arms but they are horrendously expensive.

I heard comptech will disassemble your S and dip it in acid and rebuild it with only what it needs to go and it comes in around 2200.

Not sure if its true but sounds like it would be sweet
