In my mind there was only one significant change from '99/'00 to '03 and that was the glass rear window in '02. Otherwise they all have the sweet rev'ing 9000 rpm engine that established the car above the crowd. As soon as the car appeared Honda began sorting out the small bugs - and each year there were less TSBs. Can adding a clock as standard equipment make an '01 better than an '00? In '02 they fooled with the speakers and the suspension. So, aside from the rear glass, no real difference. In '03 the only change was offer white with tan. I consider the first four years the same car. I chose '02 because of the glass, even though my plastic '01 is fine with proper care.

2003 will win. All of the TSBs and most of the issue were worked out of the car mid-year 2002. So the later 2002 and all the 2003s have all going for them. Call it a marketing stunt, call it whatever you want, but the 9,000RPM redline is, in fact, the shit.

The 2.2 makes more power, I don't care. A Z06 makes WAY more power than the 2.2L and it only revs to 6500. I'd rather have less power and more revs. I like it that way.

Also the big distintion between the '02 and '03 models is the lack of Silverstone as a color option in 2002. This has impacted the used car market considerably to the point that Sebring owners of later model years are contemplating full repaints.

that's an interesting fact...

well, I'm glad I got the last AP1 MY in Silverstone. I imagine that would help resale a bit, no?

What about, another one like this next week again !!
But we've all seen pics of the 2006 now, so we can finally make semi-informed decisions.

Besides, now we need to start talking about the 2007 S. Will the S be discontinued? Any model updates for 2007? etc, etc, etc...

'05 for me. I don't think I'll like the extra weight of the '06's. AP1's are still fun, but they've got quirks that need working out. Don't really care what it rev's to. I'd rather have the earlier/stronger torque of the AP2 engines. 17's are nice, too.

But I still love my AP1
