Wow thanks for all the replies... I fixed the post. The Berlina HAS a turbo kit- not HAD. I originally wanted just the Red one. I even bought a die cast model of a Red S2k in plans on getting the real one. butttt.... a turbo S2k has always been a big dream of mine. I have never driven one but with the s2k being crazy fun stock, turbo must be a mind blower. I will no doubt test drive them. The Red one is easy to drive cause its in proper working order. The black one still drives but he says it "clicks".

The poll would have been a good idea. I forgot about them actually.

I did.

a) One can do a quality turbo for much less.
b) Mods rarely add to a car's worth.

Edit: quoted wrong person

Definetly get the red stock one. The turbo one would be fun (if you get the diff fixed, and thats all that is wrong with it) but one of the fun parts about having a car like this is doing exactly what you want to it, and you know exactly how it has been taken care of with the mods. I'm sure you will be pleased even with a stock s2000, and later on you can get a nice brand new turbo kit and do it all yourself. Also, doing it yourself you know its done right, or at least to your satisfaction.

I would vote for the lower mileage model.

Dude 12k is cheap for those mils and NFR is sexy. Wasnt a big "red" fan until this car, black and red is hott. Stock FTW, turbo that bitch when u save enough money and it'll only have ~50-60k on the clock.

honestly i would offer the black one 10 or 11...
tell him once you buy a after market mod, you will never make your money back
switching out stock parts will increase hp but decrease value and at 418hp your not looking good

but before you do anything get it checked out by a shop

if its just a rear diff i say go for it if you want a boosted s2k
-but he blew the rear diff so you know hes been abusing it
-if motor is built and he has papers go for it!! (:

I had a Berlina Black before and I think that is the best S2k color---- for only about a week after its buffed and cleaned. Then its just a pain! I do like the NFR plus I still have my Enkie RPF1s that are silver Id be puttin on either one.

From what I can put together on here... I should get the Turbo S2k for $10,000 and if he doesnt take that then hit up the NFR stocker. The turbo S2k only problem is the rear diff and I know I would also have to take the head off and replace the 3mm head gasket with a stock head gasket. Oh the choices... atleast I have about 3 months to decide and maybe another car will come down the line. If I had the cash, I know where a stock 2000 Silverstone S2000 with red/black interior and only 6500 miles on the clock for $18000.

$10k is way too much for a MY00 with a busted diff. You don't know what else has been blown. If you go this route, make sure you check everything out. This could be a real money pit.

IMHO: Go for the stocker and then do to it what you will. At least you can test drive it.
