The proper way to do it is like Audi with a nozzle that rises out of the bumper and returns to flush or like the myriad other european vehicles that have only a nozzle.
bwm and mercedes is the same way, they're covered and pop out.
really good if you live in a colder climate and need to defrost the headlamps.
