What would you buy to replace your S?
Lately I've been eyeing the Cayman R. But its just a pipe dream..

Sadly that thing has better fuel economy than the S too.

That said, my actual fuel cost for my 1st year with the S was under $700

3 kids and a wife that can't drive a stick... LOL!
Realistically I will need a backseat at some point...
Veloster turbo
GTI w/APR stage 2
Mazdaspeed 3
Scion FRS
My guess is a 2 door GTI manual w/ APR stage 2 at 250hp/300tq is the front runner.

If I had to sell the S I'd probably just pony up the dough and start making obscene payments for something like:
1. NSX (Would be so fun to tune)
1 1/2. Elise (How much would insurance be one of these?)
2. Cayman (Payments/maintenance would kill me though)
4. BMW 8 series (Maintenance would probably kill me)
Honestly I don't know why I don't get the Elise now. single, no other car payments, small grocery runs, only downside is I don't know how I'd ever play golf lol

I have my name on the list for an FR-S. Especially in a few years when the turbo and supercharger kits come out.
I'm looking to add to the collection in the next year. I've debated selling the S but doubt I'll be able to bring myself to do it.
I'm considering the following:
a. 02-04 Z06 great bang for the buck at mid $20k range
b. C6 Z06- way faster than C5Z and better looking but 15k more(on the low end)
c. GT500 previous body style- low to mid 30's and can scare 3 passengers at once
d. New Boss 302- if I get a wild hair with the above mentioned reasoning and drop the few extra g's to get the road racer

I'll keep my S for as long as possible, no plans to ever sell it, trade it, or ever get rid of it. Insured it for agreed value, so that if it is totaled in an accident, I can replace it with another S. The Odyssey is paid for, so if I need a back seat or two, I can always haul them in that. But for pure auto fun, the S is sure hard to beat.
