What would you buy to replace your S?
Was thinking about this before.
Was looking at the Z4M (e86)
Then it was between the e92 M3 and c63. IS-F was an after thought (don't know why it was, it just was).
Then was really looking at the e92 and GT-R.
Ended up buying the GT-R, but kept the S.
If I didn't get the GT-R, I would have went the more lux route and gone with an A6/A7.

If we talking about convertible and fun sport car, the S2K are almost impossible to replace by other sport car in the same price range.
May be in the near future some other fun convertable sport car might takes it place of MY03, but for now the S2K RULES in my opion.

I was looking at the Elise many year before but it did not get to my attention over all, but if the Elise come with the F20 from Honda then the story may be different.
I owned a 2001 for a year, ~4 years back. Sold it for practicality reasons while still in college, and was back into an S within 6 months. I've had my 2004 for 2.5+ years and have put tons of work in to it. I just bought a pristine 2003 last week, which I plan on holding on to for many years. My AP2 is for sale.
I'd like to think that I'll own an S for years to come. I'd likely add another car to the stable rather than sell the S completely.

If I sold my S2000, I would buy a S2000 CR or a 2002-up NSX. I've got a 09 CTS-V, so I've got high hp covered already.
Of course, I don't plan to sell the S2000 anytime soon. It's just short of 10 years old with only less than 22.5k miles, so it's got a lot of life left in it.
