What would you buy to replace your S?
I think I can safely say that I'll never replace my S2000. I may buy another car (I do have an F-150 as well), but my CR will be mine until the day I die.
For a good 35 years, I've wanted a 911 and I could have purchased one instead of the S, but I didn't. I looked at Boxters too - and the Z4, 370Z, Mazdaspeed Miata and even a C6. I liked the S2000 as a convertible better than any of the others. I liked the handling of the S2000 better than any of the others, and even more than the non-convertible forms of the Porsche's or the Corvette. Ever other car had things I didn't like, and I mean really didn't like, but the S2000 gave me that Goldilocks feeling - just right.
Everything about it satisfies me - all of the mechanicals are brilliant, it fits like a glove, it has an ageless beauty. There's nothing vague about operating it. It feels like a part of me when I drive it. It is completely devoid of excess. I even love what some consider a weak point - it's more fun to drive (on the street anyway) than it would be if it had more power.
I think it's perfect and nothing I've driven yet could ever replace it.

Well said. I'm sure those other cars are the perfect cars for some people, but the S2000 fits me perfectly.
