I voted for the 2003 for the redline and the suspension.
If you're going to keep it a while, the depreciation won't matter much.
If you're not going to keep it a while, go for a low mileage 2002 for $21k.

I'd go 04 for the suspension and engine - i think my04+ is easier to live with on a daily level. Otherwise, get an 02 for around 20k like ck said - same car as the 03, less $$$.
