What would you pay for this car?
2002 Seabring Silver
78000 miles
hard top
stock
The car has a clean carfax and is currently on its second owner. I offered $15k w/ the hard top and the buyer seems interested. Am I offering too much?
Edmunds puts the car's private party value (w/o hard top) @ $13k and I figure the hard top is worth $2000 (either I sell it or keep it)

I may. I made my initial offer without seeing too many pics. I think I can get a little more money off because of wear on the seats or something. However, do you think if i pay $15k for the car I paid way too much?
It ended up not being worth it, but thanks for the input.
the hardtop and rear quarter had dings. the rear bumper on the driver's side was misaligned. the car had a few scratches. the rear tire (S-02) had a nail in the sidewall and both rears needed to be replaced to pass inspection.
He still thought the car was worth $14,500 WITHOUT the hardtop. Clearly he and I werent on the same page. Oh well, there are other cars out there.
