Im wondering who holds the record for the cheapest s2k ever bought, and don't give me none of that "Ohh like 8k man" I've hears of people finding them for like 4k, and don't tell me to search because I did and all I came across was storries of guys in highschool buying cars with there buddies for $50 and doing dumb s**t with them lol

 

I picked up my '01 AP1 a few weeks ago for $4900. Cylinder #1 spun a rod bearing, but I figure after the block repair/replacement, I'll still come out way ahead. Good shape overall, 81k miles.

 

Friend just picked up an 04 with 60k on the odo for 5k. It was in an accident so its not a clean title

 

If we're talking about Accident Cars technically I bought my '02 AP1 with 134k on it Back from insurance for under $1000 after settling everying. Engine would crank but wouldn't fire, ended up weeks later finding a pinched fuel line when the accident split the motor mounts. Fixed that fuel line and after getting through some air in the fuel the engine ran perfect, Drove into the garage under it's own power and Idled fine. Granted the entire exterior was destroyed, frame visibly bent, Trunk pushed in at least 18" on R/R. Driveline was great though, Seemed relatively unaffected apart from the usual bent suspension arms.
