It will always be a secret to somebody. Even if everyone finds out one day, it will still be called the "secret" compartment. It'll just go down in the annals of oxymorons - like Jumbo shrimp, "nice" Yugo, tough love, liquid air, "Smart Car" owners, modern retro. Once something gets a name, it's not gonna change.

When I first hesrd about the secret compartment I thought I had missed something. I went out to may car and was looking at everything that could be considered a compartment or a secret. When I found out what everyone was calling a secret I was shocked and let down a bit. I found that compartment the first day I got my Car. I was hoping for something more. Oh well.
