Since the Helm service manual states on the back that it's published by Honda Motor Co, Ltd., I would think that the owner's manual would be in the same line of reasoning. Buy it where it's cheapest.
cool thanks!

The helms manual, at least for my postmortem RSX is extremely detailed. It will tell you how to take apart or build up every component (engine, tranny, interior, etc.) of your car even up to torque specs.

It also does for the S2000.

I guess you haven't seen the outside yet, have you?

I think I explained that in one of my posts in one of these threads. My car is a daily driver. It is utility for me. A little dirt never hurt the way it drives or the way it VTECS and believe it or not, IT WIPES OFF. I'm not nearly anal retentive or compulsive/obsessive enough to go out and wash it off the second a bug craps on it or a bird let's one fly. It's a great car but it's just a CAR. I even drive it in the rain (and no, it's not dangerous to do so), in snow, slush, ice and yes, get ready for it .......................... MUD! And a lot of it, I bring INTO the car when I drive it. I've even been known to drive it down gravel country roads and after nearly 6 years, it stills cleans up nice and looks almost like new. You won't ever see me check the weather report or look outside before I decide whether or not to use the S. If I've got someplace to go, I go. I don't take an assessment of how it might look to others first.
I don't put it up on a pedestal or cordon it off like you see some prissy thing on a showroom floor. I don't stand there with detailer and microfibre towels in hand just in case a little dust might settle on it. I won't delay or postpone the use of it just because I feel the need to clean it first. The thing is in my possession to serve ME. I don't cater to IT. It's bad enough I've gotta do what my wife says. I won't let a car rule my life.

Oops, please stand by. I think I just heard another spec of dust settle on it. Gotta go.
I never said you had to clean it cause like you said, your wife is probably there telling you to do it or clean other things, but man that is crazy. Everyone has their ways of handling their car, but I figured after an investment of that much, I would want to take care of it, especially if you ever plan on getting rid of it.

Mine is daily driven too and I don't check the weather to drive it, but keeping it clean is nice... but that's me.

All in all, it's good to see that the S could keep up with say a Ford F-350 in the off-road department...

Andre

"Investment" is a relative term. My previous two sports cars were a Viper and a Vette ZR-1. The investment on the S2000 was much less by comparison. Also, the car clean up nicely. You don't think I'd sell it looking like that, do you?
I've examined cars that have been kept "pristine" and even after driving it a few times in the rain, their underbodies don't look much different than mine. Honda has done an excellent job at rust proofing this car.

"I just got a flat tire from running over a sharp object. I just got this car brand new a few weeks ago. Will Honda warranty this? A brand new tire shouldn't go flat like this, should it? I want Honda to pay for a new tire."
