dont all S2000's come with the oem alarm? seems like everyone has the oem keyless entry (which i assume is an alarm as well).

 

it's the light for the factory alarm--all S2ks have it on the dashboard (the exact location varies by year but it's there)---it only flashes red if you have the factory alarm and it's 'on"--otherwise, it's just a faint white dot on the dash.
All the S2ks come with keyless entry but the factory alarm is a dealer (or owner) installed Honda accessory--it plugs into several places in the existing wiring harness on the car and uses the light on the dash as the flashing indicator when it's "armed"

 

i always wondered this too but never knew what it did. that explains why i never saw it work, i have a viper alarm.

also, someone figure out a diy to make it into a more useful shift light!
