What's the point in getting bolt ons?
i don't understand upgrading too much for s2000 either. honestly, even with FI setup, you're barely getting 100whp without 3mm headgasket and once you do get about 400whp, you have to spend more on roll cage and slicks just to get traction. at 400whp...
so, i'm just wondering, if modding is worth it on the s2000.
when I had the Evo, spending $1000 will be worth so much more than spending $10,000 on s2000.

We simply do bolt on's for fun and its a hpobby, case closed. I could easily go and do a full turbo set up like my hatch had but Im at a different time in my life were family and a house is much mor eimportant. Still doesnt mean I dont bolt on shit to my car
i think the point is the cutomize your ride, you know, the way you want it. bolt on's ,stereo,wheel/tire combo, suspension, interior and exterior colors, wings, etc.....
i just bought this car because after driving a 2001 and a 2003 i fell in love. i wanted a car better than a miata (I have owned two), better than a mustang convertible (i have owned 2) and the best roadster for under 60,000, or 50,000, or 40,000 etc...i found it in the honda.
i have modded my car some, i disconnected the stupid door chime and added a K&N filter, two rear speakers and a few other tweaks, larger front tires also helps.
this is a great car out of the box, but you gotta make it yours, in there lies the answer, you just gotta make it yours.

Why even buy an S2000? Why not buy a Hyundai Sonata and some driving school and you will be just as fast as the average person in an S2000?
OP...why turbo an S2K? What's the point of making 400 whp in an S2K when you are still slower than STOCK Cobras and Z06's and A LOT slower than modified Evo's/STI's etc.?
Shit...why even mod a car at all? Why not just buy a Gixxer 1000 and be faster than 99% of what's on the road anyway?

My point is that I put in the money (ok, a LOT of money) so the car would actually be fast. I'm just wanting people's input on why they spend a few grand here and there and the car doesn't really gain anything from it.
Here's another question for you "sound" modders: If you wanted to hear the car moreso, why don't you just take the airbox lid off? It makes the car MUCH better sounding (my girlfriend even liked the sound of it when I tried it for fun, and she hates cars) and only loses a few hp depending on the temperature outside.

I'm only making 400 rwhp right now because I don't have a 100 dollar AEM boost solenoid; that is the only thing stopping me from boosting above my 9psi spring and 2psi t-fitting. As soon as I fit the solenoid - I'll be at 500 which will put me pretty much over any other car on the road.
