bc that 5-15 more hp will get you in and out of the twisties just that much quicker

for some boost or nos is not an option, as much as i love both i dont think i could bring myself to putting it on the s bc it would ruin the whole exerience imo.

yeah the s isnt THAT fast, but when you can take down cars with twice the power throug the twisties its worth every moment

the only reason i did my bolt ones (intake, TP, exhaust) was to set my car off alittle from the other and give it my own touch of what i wanted it to be. I understood that the money spent didnt get me the biggest bang for my buck when it comes to pure HP but i do love it every time i hit the gas and look at my car.

I have nothing to prove in my s. I did however have a 500hp tuner car and did have something to prove, out and about always trying to bust someones ass on the street. That got me nowhere but with a crappy driving record and higher insurance rates. The whole "something" to prove thing is just stupid and rediculous imo. I didnt buy the s to "rip" the street but rather a vehicle that was pure in all aspects of the driving experience. So when Joe the mustang driver pulls up to me and laughs at my exhaust or my suspension, honestly, I could give a hoot less. If I wanted a fast car, I would go out and buy one
Well said.I feel the same way. I just got rid of a 700whp civic and love my S2k. There is more to a car then just drag racing or peak HP. The S2000 is a very well balanced car.

I do believe that my mods have made my car lighter and faster. I'm a good half car length or so faster than OEM, and I'm about even with a friend that has ITBs. My mods have made a difference somewhere. I'm not that good of a driver.

You might as well ask why get an s2k when it's such a slow car. There are plenty of cars out there cheaper than an s2k and will still destroy it on the street.
It's a hobby, people waste money all the time. Bolt ons on a car is just one of them. We aren't logical at all times when it comes to lusting for materialism. Not a big surprise to me.

IMO people should mod wheels/tires/suspension before power because that is what the S is all about

It's the best A-stock autocross car for a reason. When posters write about "faster" they are referring to muscle car straight line antics.
