When is the a/c actually shut off?
this always puzzles me about hondas.. if i have a/c on and turn down the fan level off the a/c shuts off but recirculation button stays on. after i turn that off air comes in and cant really tell if thats b/c nothings on or a fan is still blowing air.. so when is the full system actually shut off in the car??

I think the recirc. button just closes off the vents that allow fresh air to come inside the car. When you have the recirc. button off, it opens the vents which allow outside air into the car. I'm pretty sure when you have the recirc. button on, there is no power draw. The other day, I was in my garage and I turned the car on but didn't start it. If you move your climate control to different settings, you can here the vents opening and closing. Whe you hit the recirc. button, you can hear a door open and close, but you dont hear a fan motor or anything. If you're gonna try this it has to be pretty quiet to hear it.
A/c is off when the greenlight on a/c is off. You can do that by pushing the a/c switch off or shutting fan to no lights on the dash, either way the compressor will be off.
The recirculation is just a vent mode in this car (I think). In GM cars the recirc mode DOES activate the a/c and you CAN tell the difference.
