When did you discover your S2K is beautifully engineered?
The reason I like Hondas is that they're good in a test drive, but once you own them you begin to notice things that you'd never see or experience in a test drive. Having owned a bunch of Accords, I knew there'd be a moment when I realized how much thought went into the S2000, and, yesterday, it finally happened.
Have you ever noticed how the sunvisors have a little plastic dimple that mates up to a stud mounted on the headliner to prevent the sunvisor from slamming directly into the headliner?
I did yesterday, and now, 988 miles into the experience, I know I bought a Honda. No 'Vette or Porsche would ever sweat the details like this.
It's these little things, stuff that's beautifully engineered when it doesn't have to be that impresses me about Hondas, and the S2000 is no exception.
I hope others will share their "little finds" because I think there are probably more than I will ever find in a car so sophisticated.

One detail I like is that the air vents in front of the driver are positioned just so that when your hands are on the steering wheel at 10 and 2:00 position, and it's a cold morning or night, the heat flows on your hands pefectly and warms 'em up real fast.
