where to buy the extra warranty?

Are there any Honda warranties if you're the 2nd owner of the car, or is afermarket the only option?

These cars are very reliable, you're probably better off saving/investing the money.

and 2001 called, it wants its thread back.

Your paying money because you don't have money. Peace of mind is money in the bank.

Sorry to the guy who tried to sell me one on mind, no big commission from me.

Self-insured, 167K on her and only one repair, a clutch master cylinder @ 92K ($100) that I changed myself.

Faith is for religion. Every manufacturer slips up from time to time. Even the highly revered Honda.
