Default where to get battery minder for winter storage

whadup, alright, I've decided that in order to store my car properly for the winter I need to get a battery minder. I figure this way I won't have to start it up, right? Anyways, I've read a bunch of threads on the winter storage topic and many mention the battery minder, charge tickler thing. Does anyone know where I can get one and roughly how much they cost? Are there any differences between then, ie is one kind better to get than another. Some help on this would be appreciated since winter is right around the corner. Thanks...

"Battery Tender" is the brand name that is most reliable. I got mine years ago at a motorcycle shop. It should cost about $50.00-$70.00 (it's been a while since I bought mine so don't know for sure). Don't just get a trickle charger. These don't know when to quit. The one you need has a chip in it so it knows when the charge is topped up and knows when to start again when the charge drops.

I just ordered two from Griots Garage. www.griotsgarage.com The compact version is $39.95. The larger version $59.95.
