Thumbs hung on the cross bars. My fingers are wrapped around the wheel. Most would call that 9 and 3.

It not the most relaxed position possible, but if it's awkward, you're doing something wrong. You want you left hand at 10 and the right one at 2, not the other way around.

I may be getting old, but I'm not flexable enough to cross my hands up like that and still keep my arms out from in front of the airbag. You guys must have rubber arms or something.

Damn, you beat me to it

I am usually at about 11 unless it is a long straight drive then I usually have it at about 7.

BTW- I have been driving for 12 years now (not that long but...) with my hand at 11 or 12 and I have no wrecks at all. I am a very safe driver and I do use my blinker. Generalizing about people that drive that way being unsafe, lazy drivers is like saying all black people eat chicken

I agree, but all the black people I know DO eat chicken

Wat up MX5! Je je je...I was just about to post that... since well... all the African American people I also know.. like chicken as well... specially from POPEYES! OR Long John Silvers..

Im saying this thread is crazy I dont even know what time it is anymore!! 10? 12? 9? 3?

As posted by MX5. . . "Left hand on the cell phone;
Right hand on the shifter;
Steer with the knees while steering with the knees;
What's all this crap about 1, 2, 3, o'clock?"

My thoughts exactly... the only time I am really worried where my hands are going to be placed is when the opposite sex is in my ride...
