Who has a radar detector??
>>>I am assuming that this is a penalty of the V1's greater (2x) X band sensitivity and the V1 is picking up multipath signals.<<<
From your info you're in WY. Police do not use X-band in your (and 46 or 47 other) states. So turn it off to eliminate the most common form of falsies. Info at the V1 site shows how, it's not in the manual.

[B]As far as I can tell, the Valentine One overestimated.
When I arrive at my hospital parking lot, there are two radar sources: one from the hospital's front doors and one from a nearby traffic light sensor.

I know x-band is on the way out, but it's far from dead, at least here in NJ.

I find the local sheriff's cars use K. The local police use K and X depending on the car.
I'll watch more closely to see and report back.
Here's the link to how to reprogram the ValentineOne. Not worth doing, in my humble opinion.
I have seen and verified low power x band in OR, OH and NJ so far, it almost acts like instant on. You will see the cruiser before ou register the x band...kinda scary. TXDOT also uses a very low power K and Ka and it works about the same way. OR is a high Vascar usage state too, br very careful, I have some horror stories. (Try 3 tickets in 10 miles- It took money and allot of effort, but they were all dismissed).
