It's personal opinion. Some people put soup cans on S2000's. I don't like that. They do. If it's your car then design it the way you want.

Ouch, harsh comparison.

We've all got our own opinions and it's good to hear the flip side.

But soup cans on the exhaust are rice, leather centre consoles are caviar. Doesn't change the fact that some people don't like caviar. Me, I think it tastes like fish eggs!

Honesly, I really don't care as to what kind of center console the car has, leather or carpet. But in my situation, the red interior (01) was a little to red for me, so I added the black leather console and black floormats to contrast the red.

I'm for the carpet. Adding a leather cover over it just adds weight to the car, and when I'm racing I dont need that. How picky is that?

I like the carpet in black, but in red, it looks kind of cheap - IMO. To each their own.

Faster power top? How much faster could it be? This is the first I've heard of it.

I'm with Bieg. I like my carpeted console, probably because I'm a purist. I also don't like the DH in baseball. And my carpet is RED! And my floormats are RED! The only thing that bugs me is that storage compartment that you have to be Houdini to reach. Basically I love the engine, clutch, shifter and steering wheel, and I don't care what color they are as long as they're SMOKIN'!
