You could have died.

That's on the extreme of course. Typical one I see is people sliding out of control and damaging their vehicle or others around them.

I plan on calling up the service manager at dealership in the morning. You pay 30,000 for a car you expect at least basic care!

the spring spacers could put more stress on the struts, causing to wear at a much more accelerated rate than normal. have honda make note that the spring spacers were still on the car well after delivery, in case your struts blow out in the future.

That's a great pic of the spacers.

I'll check my 03 Tomorrow.

What tool did you use to take them off?

Thanks

Thanks to this forum / thread, I went out and found at least 3 spacers in the LF @ 4500 miles.

I'll document that they were left in and save them as proof. The car won't be driven 'till I jack it up to remove every one.

Just another example of what I've learned in over 30 years of car ownership....do NOT trust a car dealer to do anything ANYTHING right!!

If there have been accidents/losses/injuries/deaths related to this, it makes me wonder whether any legal action is underway....

Holy Crap!

I jacked 'er up yesterday and found 14 spring spacers in! Five each in the front and two in each rear spring!

I've only got 130 miles on my '04. I thought the ride was a little harsh--moreso than the '03 I test drove and I thought the '04 was supposed to be softer. I never would have thought to check if I hadn't seen it on this site though.

I wasn't able to test drive it to see what a difference it made--it was raining last night and I wanted to keep my new baby clean and dry.

Jocko2, where did you buy your car ? I bought mine at Santa Ana Honda at Edinger & Hwy 55.
I think I may have some on the rear, because I feel the rear end jumped over speed bump at less than 10mph while the front end absorbed the bump very well, and the ride was a little harsher on the rear than the front. I will jack my car up this weekend to check for these stupid spacer(s)
