Who's found a spring spacer?
Check this out!!!! I just found them few weeks ago... after 18,000 MILES!!!
Can I complain to Honda about this??? Quite a few ppl told me I'm lucky to be alive riding on spacers for so long and not having lost complete control on turns. I always wondered why I drifted through corners a lot more than any other S during caravans.
Here is the thread with pictures.

Spring Spacers found after 18k miles!
We found the spacers on the driver's side front wheel, when we were lowering the car....
The all were out except for this one. I was really p!ssed off on the dealer. It was at about 500KM when we found them...

Thanks to this thread I found a set of spacers on the driver's side front spring of my MY04. The other 3 springs are clean.
The set of spacers I found was not that easy to get to. You could tell the dealership tried to remove them because I could see scratches all over the spacers, but I guess they gave up and said screw it. What BS.
I only have 900 miles on my car, but does anyone think I should notify the dealer so it's "on record" (just in case there are any related problems down the road)?
I can't wait to take her out tomorrow and see how she handles....
Thanks again for the helpful thread. It's amazing how much I've learned here.

Well, my car has over 39,000 miles on it and I have yet to check for these springs. I'm getting a set of SO3's put on Thursday at my local Bridgestone dealer; I'm gonna ask them to take a look at the springs for any spacers.
I feel like my car handles extremely well...I have yet to feel a loss of control or spin out so I'm assuming that the spacers are not there, but I'm gonna check just to be sure.
Thanks for the all the info on this issue...this site rules!

After reviewing this thread, I checked my new 04 with 460 miles on it and found a set of spring spacers on the driver's side front spring. The other three springs were OK. I have a copy of the Pre-Delivery Inspection Checklist (PDIC) from the dealership and it shows the spring spacers as being removed. I took the car and PDIC back to the dealership and let them remove the spring spacers like they should have done when they did the pre-delivery inspection.
Thank you for the helpful thread on spring spacers.

It appears that quite a few owners are pulling the spacers (which they can see) out themselves. I strongly urge everyone to have the springs inspected while the car's on a lift (which probably means taking it to your dealer - if you don't want to get charged, or jack-up the car yourself and crawl under it). I just had the remaining spacers removed from my car last week (after almost 2000 miles). Of the original 14 spacers, 5 of them were still in after PDI. Of those 5, I could only see 3 of them while the car was on the ground. If I'd just pulled out the one's I could see, there'd still be 2 left in my springs.
On a side note... The dealership wasn't the least bit concerned or apologetic about having missed those 5 spacers. I tried to explain what a hazard it was for them to be on a car that's designed to be driven very aggresively by enthusiasts, but they didn't give a rat's ass. Best they'd do was to get me an appointment for the next day to remove them.
After I get my one free oil change (every buyer gets this, it's nothing special), I'll never take my S to them again...

For this sort of thing, you don't ask for an appointment. When I found mine, I called the service dept and told them I'd be in at noon for them to remove the spacers. They were upset and the service mgr wrote down my VIN so he could figure out how this was missed. Then again, my dealer has a very good service dept...
