Why all the stolen seats?

I still think Honda should have at least tried to make the seat/rails different (fitting) to these cars. I guess it goes down to savings.
We never heard of nissan 350z seats stolen
. I owned two 350z and left the door unlocked all the time.
I guess there are more ricers in the honda world.

Seat theft is epidemic where I live now, in Seattle... I've had my seats stolen once, and then I got seat locks + loctite and a better alarm.
Regardless of that, my top has still been slashed *twice* in the last month; in one case, I'm pretty sure they tried to get the seats out but couldn't, and so they slashed the leather on the driver's seatback and left... the other, I think it was just a crackhead who figured that there must have been money and drugs in my car... I came back and found my CD's all over the place and my registration and some other papers all over...
The funny thing is that I had the car parked on the street in Oakland, CA for a year, it never got touched...
I'm moving back to California in three weeks because I'm sick of this, haha.
I find it rather funny because the S2000's seats are nothing special at all. It's just that ricers and young Honda owners cherish the car and put it on such a pedestal + there is such a big market for them with fat ass owners ruining their bolsters/leather that stealing them and flipping is a viable option.
