Why didn't Honda give the US Navi?

Ummmm.
This system is 100% Alpine, which is what Honda uses in the first place. I don't think that Radio Shack sells Alpine Navi's and touch screen units.

nav is way too common in Japan now. it is offered to pretty much every single car and if u go back to Japan now, u'll probably see a nav in every car on the street lol. This didn't happen just recently, Nav was already very common many years ago in Japan. nothin much to do with topic but yea, just a little info.
they don't only have the map navi, they have a real time traffic report navi for a LOooooooooooooooong time now.for those you who think navi is new, it's not acura had the first navi built in japanese acura legend in the 80's, the first manufacturer navi to be exact.
sometime it's nice to have one but again, it most likely to bump up the MSRP, the weight, the insurance bill and more cutted roof.
oh well, write to your favorite Marketing guy in honda about it
Honda Motor Company (HMC) is the manufacturer. American Honda (AHM) is the importer. HMC builds cars that their customers (hopefully) want to buy. HMC says "we're building this new roadster that will sell for XXXXX to you." "If we add Navi, add 2000 to the price."
In this situation AHM is the customer. AHM is HMC's largest customer, and they resell the cars the the individual dealers who sell to us. If AHM doesn't want to import a model they can choose what they want to buy. Sometimes they turn down a car only to change their minds later (the Fit).
Sometimes HMC says "we want to build a new NSX with a V-6 and it will cost us 100,000 to make it....how many do you want to buy?" AHM says, "none, we want a car with a V-8 that sells for $60,000" The two sides cannot agree and so there is no new NSX for now. (that is anecdotal but true)
