[QUOTE=ehaffey,Sep 21 2007, 05:48 PM] A big reason would be because in the Japanese market more cars are ordered, in the US market almost all of the cars are shipped here, and held in stock at a dealer to be sold at the lot, so it's high risk to put a $3000 option in a car that some may want but might not sell.

jsut as i though, nobody has a clue to the answer of why not? it just gets added to so many questions i have about the S, like....

why not improve the car and keep it going? why not a small block v8? why not fog lights? heated seats? etc....oh well...honda does what it does, not unlike microsoft...after all those of us who know about vista can see where this is going.

I prefer my implementation...

Can control it easily while hand is on steering wheel and it helps negotiate turns on canyon runs.

I love the navi... I was about to buy the new 07 Si with Navi for the S.. But after I hop into the S and BAMM.. I fell in love...
and I said to myself "screw Navigation, I don't need."

But I would also love it, if the S have the Navi, because I want my car to talk back to me once in a while. hahaha

The system you posted sticks off the dash like a zit and is not OEM. You might as well just duct tape a monitor to your dash for as good as that looks.

What you posted is not OEM. I'm just correcting you and showing you what OEM really looks like.
Dude... you're an idoit.

1) I'm the one who started this thread. Wouldn't that tell you that I KNOW that what I have is not OEM?

2) If I'm the one that's complaining that we don't have the OEM navi, why in the hell would you feel like you needed to school me and show me what one looks like?

3) Had you read my post above the pic, you would have seen that I said that I had to go aftermarket because of the fact that we don't get the OEM Navi set up.

You were going to give up your S for a Navi in a Civic I'm glad that you came to your senses before it was too late

The VGS system, which will debut in the S2000 type V, varies the steering gear ratio continuously according to vehicle speed and steering angle to provide a heightened "joy of maneuvering." The adoption of this variable ratio system ensures ideal handling performance through a broad range of driving conditions. Agile and exhilarating performance is especially noticeable on winding roads, since the front end of the vehicle turns sharply in precise response to driver steering input. While cruising at high speeds on expressways, the VGS offers a smooth and progressive ratio setup without excessive sensitivity, providing the driver with the relaxed and reliable driving feel of conventional steering systems. Astonishingly, the lock-to- lock ratio* is almost halved to 1.4 turns for better maneuverability in the low speed ranges.
