Default why do some people not like the s2000

Well, i have been a huge fan and very much in love the S2000 for some time now. You know how it is to always be thinking about that certain car that you truly admire. Anyway i have friends that are so hung up on camaros and ws-6's that its pathetic. They are very fast cars and forgive me for saying this but WHO DOESN'T HAVE A FU(KING F-BODY CAR. My personal opinion is that the S2000 along with the NSX and a few other honda/acura vehicles are more of a piece of art work. Who pulls up to a stop light and says, "ooooohhhhh shit look at that badass camaro." never in my living life will i say that. Again who pulls up to an S2000 at a stoplight or stop sign and just stares at it without even realizing it. Kinda funny that a lot of us do that simply the fact that its a beautiful car. Oh and who really cares about an S2000 losing to a modded v8 ws-6 or vette in the quarter mile, funny how they have twice the motor and still they barely compete, yeah those car did real good for that 1/4 mile and oops, here comes a 90 degree turn, oh wait luckily im not in that car im in the s2000.......Just bored and love the S2000 and wanted to talk about it since it is the S2000 talk board. oh yeah i don't even own an s2000, i have a 93 integra, i just had a great time in REDDEVIL2000's car down in Dallas when he showed me what a supercharged S2000 can do and how well it handles, which i must say was fucn amazing, and that was all it took to make me say"whatever i have to do and however long i have to work, i will have one of these......

lots of my friends ribbed me when i first got the s2000, telling me i bought a torque-less wonder. after i let them drive it, they all took back their words. one of them sold his camaro z28 recently and bought a used s2000 . people hate more especially if they've never driven one.

Depending on what you have and who you talk to, you'll almost always find someone who doesn't like what you have.

You can buy almost any car and someone will always ask you why didn't you get something nicer, less expensive, faster, newer, etc.

Well said Silver Teg. The s2000 amazes me when I'm on the freeway and drop into 4th and floor it. The roar of the engine and the acceleration feel so good. The handling has saved my ass a couple of times where a lesser car would have lost it. Razor sharp handling is such a great thing.

ooh...i wouldn't go so far and call the corvette an inadequate handler. they are great all around cars and excel in acceleration, braking, and handling.

the bottom line is that muscle cars are built for different purposes than lightweight roadsters like the s2000. they both excel in what they were designed to do. this does not make anyone better than the other in general, although one may be better than the other in certain situations and applications. put it this way, forks and spoons are both useful dining utensils, but each is best used for certain situations. i mean, you certainly wouldn't choose to use a fork to eat oatmeal, and you certainly wouldn't choose a spoon to eat spaghetti.

true, but i think it's really rare for someone to question your decision to get an M3...unless the person who bought the M3 really can't afford it.
