Why do you drive an S2000?
To put this into perspective the year was 2000.
My Z was constantly at the dealership for maintenance. My friend mentioned that I should check out the S since like my Z it had a digital dash. I never saw myself in a Honda. Randomly I decided to stop by a Honda dealership just to see what they were selling and in the center of the floor was this beautiful black on black S. The rest is history.
I did contemplate getting a used NSX since they were asking for $40,000 for the S, but I wanted something new with a warranty.

It was the best choice money wise (for me) for Autocross. As a bonus, The connection to the road is incredible, I'm more comfortable high speed cornering in this car than my GTR (R33). I find myself trying to make the GTR more S20000-like, which is pretty much impossible given my budget.
traded in a 4dr si.
i always wanted an rear wheel drive convertible. was orignally searching for a c6 vette. had the paperwork filled out for the vette and was approved but then changed my mind cause i thought they were asking too much. then decided to shop around and i found a nice gpw ap2 and the rest was history.

I wanted one ever since I laid eyes on it when I was 19 at a nearby Honda dealership. "One day" I thought. Well, ten years later I was in comfortable enough position to purchase one and I haven't regretted it since. I LOVE my s2k.
-striking good looks
-reliable
-roadster
-FUN
... for the price nothing else really makes sense to me. My next car will be another S2K.

Within my price range, I narrowed my choices to a 02 S or 03-04 350z. I didn't like the fact that Zs are extremely common. I figured at would at least test drive both before I made a decision but I test drove a mint 02 NFR with 28k back in July of 07 and I was sold. The feeling I got from driving the car was awesome and it's something that never gets old. I later drove a 350z and I realized that I made the right choice. I always liked hondas but the only one I truly loved besides the NSX was the S. Too bad this is my first and probably last Honda I will ever own.
