Go on the slimfast diet for a week. You lose the couple extra pounds that glass adds.

Why is the plastic window a pain in the *ss? Here is what I have to do in order to drop my top to protect the plastic:

1) Get in car, turn key
2) Undo latches
3) Check e-brake is engaged
4) Partially lower top
5) Get out of car
6) Reach back in and unlock trunk using secret compartment switch
7) Get out the window roll and place on window
8) Get back into car
9) Complete lowering the top.

If I had a glass window, I would:
1) Get in car, turn key
2) Undo latches
3) Check e-brake is engaged
4) Lower the top

Which would you rather do, given the choice?

Being like several of you guys, I also hate the plastic rear window. I wouldn't mind having a smaller window that's glass. My current rear window looks like crap. A lot of times I can't tell if a car or SUV is behind me during the night. I wonder if anybody on this board had actually spent much money on putting the '02 top on the earlier models?

Even with Plexus, the inside of the window is hard to clean. I hate clening my window and the distortion is pretty bad. That's why I try to drive top-down ad much as I can.

My S has 18000 miles driven as a daily driver Garaged. The plastic window is in nearly flawless condition. It took a lot of maintence with Mguiers products until I got my Muz mat now I just clean the outside when I wash my car and never touch the inside. I love MY plastic.

I don't mind at all. Most of the time that I drive my car, the top is always down anyways. The glass window would have been nice to start with, but the plastic doesn't bother me at all. I just use a plastic polish/ scratch remover everytime I completely detail my car. It becomes like new.
