Why does everyone hate the plastic rear window so much?

When you consider the part you can really see through (past the seats and rollover bars), there is hardly any difference.

Neg, I'm fortunate in that I have underground parking at work - most employers out my way seem to have this facility. When driving in the rain I simply maintain at least 30mph and the rain goes over the top and leaves me dry. The only issue is traffic lights and in that instance a little rain inside the car for a minute or two doesn't do any damage.

Although I followed ALL the precautions for my plastic window, it delaminated and was replaced under warranty. Although the upholsterer took five days to do the job (at no cost to me) he didn't get it tight and also he scratched the car's paint in the door jams. The paint has been touched up. We'll see about too loose install.

I wish I had glass, even though I hardly ever use the car with the top up.
