Why is the Rx8 so much cheaper than S2k?
Take a look at Consumers' latest guide: RX*8 lower than ave, S2000 better than ave repair history. Not that they are the most difinative source on everything, but the best we are going to see outside of the factory.

rx8 is for girls
Never drove one. Likely never will. But the concept of a sports car that Daddy can cart the little ones around in seems pretty smart to me. Those back seats will definitely fit the little ones. So Daddy doesn't have to completely give up on having his fun car.

You fail at posting.
If the kid is as good at driving as he is at making informative posts, he can come to one of our autocrosses with his Silverstone, and I'll kick his butt in an RX8, then do it again in a Miata. Then to add insult to injury, I'll have my 19 year old daugher do the same.
There's a guy in my auto-x club that usually captures FTD in his RX-8 until the SS cars show up. They're great cars and ignorant posts really just highlight how clueless and close-minded some people are.

No, you are misinformed, the RX-8 is a great car. 50/50 weight balance and a high strun engine, its like the hard-top versionof an S2000.
I'll toss this out there: both the S2000 and RX8 do not have direct competition in their price segment. The S2000 has performance targets that do not match its price range. The RX8 is a unique combination of features that has no real equivalent. As a result, comparisons to either are going to be a mismatch, and whether one is a bargain and the other is overpriced will be very different based on the buyer's priorities.

Well said: the RX8 is the closest vehicle to an S2000 sedan (except for the fuel economy).
