Why so many "oil" related threads?
I was looking over the active threads this evening and I counted no less than 10 active threads relating to oil in both the "S2000 Talk" forum and the "Under The Hood" forum. In no particular order:
Burning Oil like MAD!!!!
oil choice revisited and DIY vs. dealer for warranty
Break In Oil - Honda Answers!
Burning Oil - Dealer disagrees
Should I be worried? (Oil ??)
when did your oil consumption stop?
2002 owners, oil consumption?
Is there an external oil cooler for the S2.
No Oil in S2000!!
What is your OIL CONSUMPTION rate?-
What is it with oil that got everyone posting at the same time? This has got to be a record in terms of active threads on one single subject.

Oh, that is Woodstock not Woodson
It is just the flavour of the week in terms of thread topics. A couple weeks ago it was GM synchromesh.
Until Honda announces a replacement S2200 or whatever, these major topics will emerge now and again.
Just for the record, I think my equation of more moly = more consumption is the case. To me, there is a trend in people who use oils with high antiwear agents and increased or high oil consumption. The "break in oil" is known to be high in moly. After you switch it out, consumption drastically drops. If you use Redline or Amsoil, oils that have high concentration of anti-wear agents, there seems to be continued oil consumption or oil consumption not tampering off. This is my theory and I am no expert on oil, so take it with a dip stick and a wipe

One thread would have been enough.
