Why are there so many ...........
I think a lot of people are enamored with the car's killer looks...then they drive it and realize that it is a true sports car, i.e. you gotta pry yourself in and out of it, you have to rev the shite out of it to make it perform, and you can't put a whole lot of grocery bags in it. So the thrill wears off for many who have the money to live well in the real world, but can't face the fact that a good looking sports car is only a sports car.
I agree with all of the above...
Also, some of those buyers who are now sellers may have bought the car
without realizing that , although the S2000 is not what I consider to be a
"high maintenance" automobile, it is a car that needs to be looked at. I
mean, you gotta check stuff. Tires can be expensive after 10-15,000 miles.
Basic oil changes are gonna cost more than the usual $29 at Oil Can Harry's.
You're gonna use premium gas as opposed to regular. Then you discover
that you don't feel comfortable parking your S2000 at normal parking spaces
in the city, or whatever; it'll get noticed more than the average Buick or
Toyota.
There are gonna be some monetary sacrifices made as well as other types
of sacrifices. I think some of these folks realized it and couldn't handle it.
Doesn't make them wrong, just not like us!

If you ask me, I think people are buying them as their primary car. After the first week, they realize that the car doesn't have any space for anything and their precious pets. Or they just need more room for their future kids.... All I know is I just got my s2k last nite and I can't stop thinking about driving it (even at 3am!) I loved how the car rides and it's definitely one of the best car I've driven... But again I am driving it as my secondary car (only on sunny days!) And on the bad weather days, I will be in my CLK.
