Default Wind Deflector Question

I'm considering purchasing the OEM wind deflector (hopefully used), but was wondering if it is worth the purchase? I already have the Major Havoc's windblockers installed in the headrests.

Has anyone noticed any difference with the wind deflector on the car?

Thanks.

It works, for sure.

I rode around for almost a year before I could track down a gently used OEM aeroscreen bracket.
Although I had the Major Havoc's in the headrests, alot of air was being forced to go between the seats.

The addition of the aeroscreen was a big step in calming the turbulance.

The FINAL fix was to replace the low OEM screen with a Rick's 7/8th height screen. Much better. With the windows rolled up, you hardly feel the wind, even at freeway speed.

Definitely a worthwhile addition.

ps - Feel free to take a look at my photo album for some pics of proper bumper placement. Basically, the higher up you place the bumpers for Rick's screen the less rattle you get. I experimented quite a bit until I found an optimal position.

Hockey, thanks for the quick reply. I agree even with the windblockers in the headrest I'm still getting some turbulence between the roll bars.

I guess the next step would be to look for a slightly used wind deflector.

Thanks again.

Try E-bay. Sometimes they sell the entire glove box with the aeroscreen bracket still attached.

It did take me a while, but you can find them.

Worse comes to worse you can always get a new one ($200 from H and A accessories) or contact HardTopGuy for a quote.

Good luck,
Hockey

sweet color set-up by the way.........great minds think alike!

The taller aftermarket deflectors work much better than the OEM ones and are usually much cheaper.
