Default Windblocker/aero screens ?

Has anyone tried using a windblocker that covers the entire space behind the roll bars and between center? Like the Z3 mesh/net or a large piece of Lexan, etc.

It seems that the center mounted aero screens only block air in the center of the car leaving lots of air to flow up through the roll bar hoops and through head rest holes. Also if you have a MY2000 you have to buy an aero screen then buy something to block the holes in the head rests and/or roll bar hoops.

I'm looking to see if anyone has used or is happy with an all in one solution.
The are a few places on the Internet that sell such an items but I'm interested in "informed" opinions before I buy.

TIA for your replies.

This issue comes up from time to time. In general, the lexan pieces that go across the whole area behind the seats have been "deemed" ugly. I've tried the mesh thing between the roll hoops and this, in combination with other stuff, has proven to be very effective but again, attachment was a problem and was also deemed as ugly. If you search using some key words like "mesh" or "windscreen" or "aero screen", you'll turn up lots of threads on this very subject. Here are a couple of threads from some "tests" that I did a while back.

Yesterday, I did a freeway test with Rick's 7/8 screen and MajorHavoc's headrest pieces, and found the wind buffeting to be greatly reduced. There's still enough wind to muss your hair & give you that great top-down feeling, but not so much that you can't hear the stereo (with lucid's rear speakers (Polks). Wow, I sound like an advertisement.....great products, all of them!

I have Rick's full height aeroscreen, MajorHavoc's lexan headrest blockers and Rick's headrests.

The combination makes for a fabulous experience versus the stock configuration.

acx - I'm working on a way to fill the roll bar hoop area.
The problem is finding a way that's virtually invisible,
fairly easy to install, leaves no permanent marks or holes
and is effective at blocking the wind.

Like I said, I am working on it!

You can see my other post for the other solution that's available now.
