I was thinking about locating a new radiar detector is that same general area - nicely done. I been waiting for the speeedzones ratings which are due out this month. Is this ReedZ mount a sales item?

Just curious...in your opinion, how is this mount an improvement over a windshield mount next to the mirror?

What about security? Do you think the unit will get jacked easily if your top is down?

HondaGuy and I have the same mount for our V1. My concealed display is in the same area as ReedZs. It's kinda hard to see it when you have you hands/arms in the 10/2 postition. That's why I just turn up the volume pretty high.

We used velcro under neath the V1 so we could just take off the V1 when we park or whatever...

Chris S,

I hate that ugly thing staring me in the face all the time. I used to have mine mounted there, and ReedZ has his mounted in the back from the start, and we've seen no difference in sensitivity when we've made trips together -- that's the best test of all -- a road test.

I did this type of mounting over this past winter.
As I don't have a basis for comparison, I can't tell you how more or less sensitive it is than placing the V1 on the windshield. However, I can tell you that it works excellent and I have had no problems detecting the fuzz .

here are some pics. ( I posted this at the time of the install, but there are some new peeps here since then)

Constructed out of sheet aluminum. Clamped between the stock windscreen and the compartment lid using the stock hardware.
Remote head unit on the dash. Works like a charm.
