Hey, Bass - glad you figured it out - and that I saw your PM and this thread before heading out to Radio Shack!

I especially like the fact that I can reach back with the right hand and remove it without appearing to be doing anything to any police that may be watching. Not that detectors are illegal or anything, but I think it pays not to antagonize the local cops too much...

I like your set up JonasM. I just ordered my V1 and been thinking about where i should mount it. I forgot to add the remote mount to my order so I'll pick it up later after I get used to the V1. When you have mounted on your windscreen like that, can you disable the lights on the main unit so it does not attract attention from cars behind you? At the top of this thread, I heard ppl using black electrical tape, thus the reason for my question.

 

when the remote display is plugged in the lights on the V1 are no longer activated
