I know that my 2002 Sebring would look better without the tape, but I'm afraid to find damaged paint underneath.

I recently saw a Dakar yellow BMW Z3 and noticed the windwo frame was the same color as the body. I thought to myself that it would have looked better if the frame were black. I think my Spa looks GREAT with the tape on.

What Muz said is right the black tape helps the window frame blend in with the black interior. IMO removing the tape can take the eye away from the lines of the car especially with a colour like Spa.
