i've been thinking about getting a cf hood and i think it would look better on my gpw if the black windshield tape was still on. the previous owner had already taken the tape off. can i buy the tape from honda?

 

it has 3 seperate part numbers, it's 3 pieces. should be able to get it from any dealer.

 

Might be easier and less of a pain to just have it painted.

I don't think it will make any difference with a cf hood.

 

If I remember correctly, you have to replace the windshield to install it right. It is under the seal and the windshield holds the seal. So you have to do it then.

 

sounds right. when i had my windshield replaced the remaining tape was exposed.

 

Yes to do it right you have to take the winshield out.

The guy i bought my S2k from droped something and sratched the tape on the passenger side. The new tape was more of a grey color then the black that he had, so they had to replace all 3 peices with winshield removed. $600 bill.

why he didnt just take it all off is beyond me. Maybe he didnt know.
