Winter storage question
New owner. Done everything ready for indoor winter storage in my garage. 2 questions that give me different answers. What is your experience and advice.
1. Manual says to store in reverse gear, others say 1st. Which is best?
2. Should the top be unlatched to relieve some of the tension or not?
Thanks.

I've been storing my car during the winter for the past 10 years. Sometimes the top was up, sometimes it wasn't. Also, I usually just park with the parking brake on. 10 years and no problems with anything. Perhaps it's better to store in gear but it's not going to ruin your car if you don't. This is spoken from experience.
Any reason why one should leave it in 1st/reverse instead of neutral? What would be the benefit of leaving it in gear?
I store mine in neutral, no parking brake, just wheel chucks and flat floor in my garage, tires overinflated to 40psi, battery plugged into a battery tender, and gas tank full.
