Sorry to hear about your seats.
We live in a small town, but on occasion we travel and would like to know that our seats are in the car when we leave the hotel in the A.M. so we bought the seatlocks.
Everytime I hear that some seats went missing, I'm glad we spent the $60.00 and hope they deter someone if they try to steal them.

By the way, until now I have seen in the US that stealing seats happens all the time! How come and this is happening?
Here we dont have such incidents! Well... actually here they steal either the car stereo or the whole car.

If you buy the seat locks I would also buy the seat lock stickers that can go on the window. They are only sold to owners of the seat locks. This way the theif knows your seats are locked down, and maybe won't want to go through the extra effort.

Who is buying these seats? I would think there would be so little market it wouldn't be worth the considerable effort compared to stealing other things. Are they being used just in S2000s?
I'd also have thought blue seats wold be safe, because of their unusual nature -- gain, hard for the thief to unload. Now I get to worry about my own Suzuka.
I guess it (almost) goes without saying that nonoe of us should ever buy parts that looks even the slightest bit shady in origin.

Most theives won't bother looking for the seat lock sticker.
The best deterrence is a good 2 way alarm system and seats locks. And unfortunately the best prevention is a garage.

energetic, shrike:
Since the seats cost several thousand dollars each ($4K approx each) and are bolt-on replacements for other Honda vehicles, like the Civic, it's no wonder why seats are getting stolen.
Locally, I am seeing more and more Civics and Del Sols with S2000 parts on them. Mainly tail lights.
