God I can't wait to get my house with two car garage next year. Right now I have my Civic hogging up the garage all the time since its a project car and constantly being worked on. I'm always so nervous leaving my S2K out in the driveway. I already had the antenna stolen once.
I have a two car garage...I give my roomie one half and the S gets the other. Unfortunately that means my RSX has to sleep in the driveway which I'm not terribly happy about( it lived in the garage before I got my S), but I live in a pretty safe neighborhood. I am still a little nervous some times because several years back my ex-girlfriend had her clear top stolen off of her Del Sol in my driveway.

I guess shit is always gonna happen though.

$2248.17?!?!

Makes those aftermarket seat prices seem less far-fetched...

eridia78 - Sorry to hear about your seats and top. It's happening everywhere.

I just calculated $3,230.45 for ONE black OEM seat with rails. This is for a 2002 model, so newer versions will cost more.

I used the retail prices from HondaAutomotiveParts.com. There are over 40 pieces, including the screws, bolts, and washers.

This price does NOT include sales tax or shipping. It is also NOT including labor costs to put the pieces together (Honda doesn't sell replacement seats, only parts). Your friendly neighborhood Honda technician will be assembling your new seats- that's why the replacement seats often look like crap, compared to new ones - no quality control.

They make a clear top for the Del Sol? That rules!

also check on craigslist.org. I don't think they would be pawned locally
but you never know(part of the reason I don't support pawn shops w/
my biz).

There is one common thread to all stolen S seat stories: the car is regularly parked outside at night.

Garaging is the best way to prevent this from happening to you. It sucks to have an S without a garage.

A crazy idea for preventing (or getting back your seats) is when you purchase Lo Jack, buy another set of Lo Jack for your Seats. It's about a thousand dollars for both car and seats, but i don't know if Lo Jack needs to route to the power source...or not. Plus they don't tell you where it is when they install it. But if you think spending an extra 500 on seat protection is worth it...by all means... just my 2 cents

SCUMBAGS... Some A hole stole my antenna @ FIU this week. I Driving home and couldn't figure out why I got no signal. Couldn't figuer it out till I got home and guess what no antena. You can't take a car anywhere without worrying about it. I have blue seats and I thought they will never get stolen who really wants blue seats... I guess I was wrong. Sorry to hear about that, I wil keep and eye out for them too...

Keep in mind those are not ordinary OEM seats. They are Recaro seats made for the S. It's too bad we can't enjoy the car without worrying about it.
cruise with your seats intact
