Can you tell us what you paid on the new 03? Just curious, a couple dealers I've talked too seem to think it is the year 2000 and completely balked when I asked for $30,200 on an in stock 03. They told me no way could you buy one for that and that they'd buy it themselves for that price (2 dealers so far). Maybe I'm not looking at the right dealers. Thx

Well we are getting ours for $30.700 but we plan on talking them down a bit. I know they will since we have already been approved and have a huge down payment, so they know we arent playing around. Or we will make them throw something in.

I was thinking of getting one from Lou...Im assuming that where you got yours Tom?
But I would then have to pay to get it shipped here, so it would be probably less to just go this way. If I get it talked down t0 $30 or 30.2 I'll be happy.

One question though...How much are the 100K mile warranties? They told me 6 yrs 100K was like $1500? I thought you could go more years. Let me know. Thanks

Lou is Kim's husband, I dealt with both of them and they are wonderful people. If you search the threads here there are a number of people that have come from both coasts to buy from them. I have no connection whatsoever with this dealer, other than being a very satisfied customer.

I dunno about the extended warranty, I didn't want one so I never inquired about it.

I originally wanted Spa Yellow, but decided on Silverstone/Black. It just seemed more "me".

Enjoy yours when it comes in. Make sure to stay below 5500 for at least the first 600 miles, check the oil often (every gas stop) and enjoy the car. I can't keep my hands off mine, I find excuses to go drive it.

Tom

Yeah..Only reason we are getting the extended warranty is all the problems we had with our MR2 (3 rebuilds in 2 years) I know it was a "race" motor but we arent taking any chances. Silverstone/Black was actually our second color choice, but since we ended up getting new we got our Spa

I havent read to much into this, but why is it that everyone says check your oil often. I have never had to do that with a new car...is it because of the problems with the previous years? Any info is appreciated. Thanks

The car eats oil. It is normal for this car. Tom gives you good advice. After 10,000 miles or so, rumor has it, the "oil eating" subsides or stops.

i think my engine stopped using oil after 1100 miles. engine compression braking helps a lot to seat the rings.

I've got a little over 1300 on mine now and I haven't had to add a drop.
