I was talking about this to my girlfriend the other day. I'm only 24 years old and I have this car. What the hell am I going to get next? I can't get any worse, you can only get better and better... the only other cars I would consider after this would be an NSX or Elise. I better keep this car a LOOONG time or by the time I'm 40 I'll be forced to drive a Lambo

Afwfiustin,

What is more likely is instead of moving on to a Lamborgini, you will go to a Volvo stationwagon. Automobile ownership isn't always a matter of onward and upward. Having a family meant going from a Mazda RX-7 to a Volvo for me. Just getting back to sportscar driving after many years (previous ones were a MG-TF, Triumph Spitfire, Alfa Romeo, etc). So hang on to the S2000, and consider yourself lucky! :-)

This thread's fun.

I bought my S with the intention of driving it until it dies. Hopefully, that'll be in 15 years and 300k miles.

After the S, I'm either going to get a little used civic..or a GT3 or Turbo. Already told my lady

Whatever I move onto, I just hope the transmission is as fun to row through as the S2k's...

For the people that said GT3 or 911 Turbo, have any of you actually driven those cars?

If you have, you likely wouldn't say that. I'm not saying that those cars are bad, they are great cars, but they provide a different experience compared to the S2000.

Lots of ITR owners went to S2000 and want to go back to ITRs and that doesn't mean the S2000 sucks either.

Personally I'll keep the S for a long time unless something changes in my life, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want a Cayman, or a Carrera, etc parked in the garage next to it...

I think the worst part of this addiction is the transmission. I have yet to find a production car with a tranny as nice/fun as the S's -- and frankly, the tranny was the main factor for me to get the S
Right on

My buddy has a GT2, one of the greatest cars I have ever driven (including Murcielago, F430, Maranello, 360, Gallardo, Diablo 6.0) But there is no way you can drive that thing on a daily basis.

completly different cars.
